Insurance & Fees
YOU PAY US AT THE TIME OF SERVICE
You will pay us with cash, check or credit card for services received in our office.
WE SUPPORT INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT
When insurance is involved we collect your insurance information and support you to be reimbursed by your insurance company, by out of network coverage or through your medical savings plan. We do not accept assignment or payment directly from any insurance company and are not a provider on any insurance network.
WE SUBMIT CLAIMS TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AT YOUR REQUEST ON A WEEKLY BASIS.
Reimbursement will be determined by your insurance policy and by your network or insurance company. If you need to know if your insurance is going to reimburse, call them and ask if they cover “out-of-network chiropractic care”.
Patients under active or maintenance care are responsible for paying for all services at the time of service. No reimbursement is made to you or to our office from Medicare.
No reimbursement is made to you or to our office from Medicaid.
SPINAL CARE – NEW PATIENT
PERSONAL & INSURANCE INFORMATION
HISTORY, EXAMINATION & X-RAYS
You will be introduced to your doctor who will ask you why you have come and take a detailed health history to identify any additional problems or symptoms.
Using the NUCCA protocols, an examination will be made to determine if your upper cervical spine is misaligned. If the exam indicates an upper cervical misalignment, x-rays will be taken. This visit takes approximately one hour. We will schedule your next where you will receive a detailed report of findings of your x-rays and begin care if indicated.
CORRECTION & DECISION FOR CARE
On your second visit to our office the doctor will review the X-rays with you. When the doctor is confident that the services that we provide can help you, the he/she will discuss with you what needs to be done and what to expect having us take care of you. Then you decide if you would like for us to begin care.
If you choose to continue care the doctor will make a spinal correction. Post X-rays are taken to make sure that your spinal misalignment has been reduced or corrected as much as possible. The second visit takes approximately one hour.
Your doctor will analyze the post x-rays and develop a care plan based on the information he gathers from the first visits. An additional correction and further X-rays may be made if necessary. These visits will establish you as a spinal care patient at Spinal Balance Health Center
SPINAL CARE – FOLLOW UP OFFICE VISITS
Follow up visits to our office to monitor the stability of the initial correction will include spinal examinations and corrections when necessary. If your correction is stable or “holding”, no correction is necessary on that visit. The number of visits to our office depends mostly on the severity of the spinal misalignment and the recovery time necessary for your symptoms and conditions.
From time to time the spine may misalign again and need to be corrected again. Once established as a patient in our practice new X-rays are taken between 6-8 weeks for a re-evaluation. After that they are only necessary following a significant injury or if there is a problem with the correction or its stability.
